We all care for the environment but we may not be fully aware of how to get started to become part of the solution. With our expertise in ecological design and in education, we have a range of workshops to offer!

Open to both youth and adults, these have been designed to equip one with resources and step-by-step guidance to help with adapting minimalism, follow zero-waste lifestyle and practice mindfulness in all walks of life. 

RETURN TO THE SOIL

“Localization and conscious consumerism are the sacred mantras.” Sustainable living is the only way of life that will ensure a healthy future for the planet and for our children. This workshop for parents to understand the idea of low-impact lifestyle and step by step infiltration of these ideas into everyday routine, and form a community of support for each other.

FREEDOM AND MINIMALISM

“Freedom is our birthright. But are we really free? What does it entail to be really free? How do we grow wings?” This workshop is for children and youth between ages of 10-21 wherein we nurture their self-confidence, hone their leadership abilities and skills for self-reliance to increase resilience.

FOOD IS MEDICINE

“Our Health is in our hands. Learn to listen to your body and understand your food.” It is essential to understand the nutrients in our food, their role in our well being and the ingredients for a wholesome meal. Let us learn to eat in such a way that food is medicine.

YOGA FOR LIFE

“When the body is supple, the mind is flexible.” Learn to use your body and mind to support all your dreams! Through the understanding of the body, learn to nurture tolerance, iron out differences and empathize with all humanity.

EARTHEN BUILDING

Earth is an age-old building material but has become a niche now not due to the availability of resources but due to disappearing traditional knowledge systems. In this workshop, we introduce you to the experience of earthen materials, physically, psychologically, and philosophically.

WASTE TO RESOURCE

In traditional Indian cultures the concept of waste did not exist! It is time that everyone sees waste with a new perspective! From old rags to mats and quilts, coconut shells into soap boxes, newspapers into bags and baskets, fruit peels into bio-enzymes, we show you how to convert “waste” into an asset.

ORGANIC FARMING

“Grow local. Eat local.” Experience the joy of having fresh vegetables from your garden, be it in your frontyard or on the terrace. Explore the simple concepts of seed propagation, creating vegetable gardens, herb gardens and DIY bio fertilizers and pesticides.

PERMACULTURE DESIGN

If we want a continuous supply of good organic food, we need to understand how forests grow. Learn how soils are built and continuously nourished so that they can support life on the planet without depletion.

MINIMALISM

What is minimalism ?

The act of choosing to live a frugal life with minimum possessions is called minimalism.

Why we need to minimize ?

The act of conscious consumption liberates us from the need to compete with others for material goods. This further facilitates the feeling of contentment and brings happiness.

What should we minimize ?

a. Medicine
b. Clothes
c. Non-Local consumption

How to minimize ?

Make a list of all that we would take with us if there was a threat of some disaster. Then we can see for ourselves that all the other things are actually a luxury.

This is a month long course for youth, between their academic years. It is meant to expose them to self-reliance, social entrepreneurship and sustainable living, to help heal,  understand their purpose in life and face challenges with confidence.
